Yukon Do It! Winter Edition 2020 Marathon/Half Marathon/10K/5K

Sun December 27, 2020 Port Orchard, WA 98366 US Directions

On November 15, 2020, it was announced that Washington State will have a 4 week "lockdown". The lockdown could potentially end December 14th, but this is not guaranteed. Unfortunately, supplies and permits need to be secured well before the December 14th date. For this reason, I have made the decision to cancel the live race.

Current participants can choose from the following options:

  1. Switch to the virtual event. If you paid more for the live event, you will be refunded that fee minus $50 for the virtual event fee (if you paid $90 for the marathon, you would be refunded $40).
  2. Defer to 2021. You will keep your entry into the 2021 Winter Yukon Do It!
  3. Request a refund. You will receive a refund minus the online transaction fee

Thank you for your understanding. We plan to be back up and running next year.  Keep doing your part, wear a mask, be diligent, be kind to everyone.

All participants will receive a medal and the choice of an infinity bandana or t-shirt!  Sweatshirts can be purchased for $45 at checkout. You will also have the option to purchase a t-shirt or infinity bandana (in addition to your choice of swag) for $10 during checkout.
The half marathon runs along Beach Drive to Manchester State Park and run a loop through the park before returning to the finish downtown.
The full marathon starts in downtown Port Orchard, follows Beach Drive to Manchester State Park. After running through the park, turn left and head towards downtown Manchester where you will be greeted with views of the Seattle skyline in the distance. Follow Colchester Road out to Yukon Harbor Road.  The course continues on Southworth Drive to Cornell where you will run right along the water.  Run through the little trail opening and back on to Yukon Harbor Road. Just ahead is Olympiad, where you will find your turnaround toward the end of the road. Return to the finish following the same course on the way out EXCEPT THAT YOU WILL NOT RUN THROUGH MANCHESTER STATE PARK AGAIN. Everything else is the same.

We are in uncharted territory as we strive to put on a great race for you and keep you safe. To that end, we will be making adjustments to our race to accommodate social distancing and safety guidelines.  This section will be updated as we get closer to the race.

In order to keep social distancing requirements, our plan, at least at this time (August), is to require facial coverings when at the start and finish line.  You are not required to wear one while running.  We do recommend being courteous of other runners/walkers and giving them wide berth when passing or being passed.

To keep the start area from being packed with people, we will be asking everyone to wait in their vehicles until 15 minutes before their designated start time.  We will be assigning all runners and walkers specific start times to keep the start area from getting congested.

Aid stations:  For now, plan on bringing your own water and aid.  Again, please watch for updates on our day of race safety plan as we get closer to race date.
