The 5th Annual Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022! Take steps against hunger through Making Spirits Bright's holiday lights show in Evergreen Park before it's open to the public for the 2022 season. All proceeds from this event support Sheboygan County Food Bank. In the first four years of this event, about $150,000 has been raised.

  • An exclusive, on-foot “sneak peek” of Making Spirits Bright’s holiday lights displays

  • Offsite parking shuttle service to and from the event

  • Award ceremony and after party at 3 Sheeps Brewing following the 5k run (3 Sheeps will donate $1 to Sheboygan County Food Bank for every pint of beer sold that evening!) with Cold Soda Club performing to continue the fun


Special Pricing for Children

Keeping this a family-friendly event, all children age 12 and under register for FREE, and therefore, are not eligible to join a Group/Team to receive a $5 discount.


Group/Team Discount with 10+ Members

Enjoy a $5 discount when you sign up as a Group/Team! For a minimum of 10 registrants (ages 13 and older only), all registrants will receive $5 off. Please note that registrants 1-9 will pay the normal event fee until 10 members have registered. Once the 10th member has registered, registrants 1-9 will be refunded $5. Refunds are processed about an hour after the threshold is met. However, it may take a few days for banks to process/release. 


Shirt Deadline 

Long sleeve shirts are available to purchase for $10 each during the registration process through Monday, November 7. A limited quantity of shirts will also be available to purchase on the day of the event while supplies last. 


Other Gear and Parking Passes Available

Would you like to park at the event location and avoid offsite parking and shuttle service? Do you have a Disabled Parking Identification permit? VIP Parking Passes (limited supply of 20) and Courtesy Disabled Person Parking Passes are available to reserve through Friday, November 11

Deck yourself out in gear to show your support! DryBlend hooded sweatshirts, knit caps, and stretch fleece headbands are available to order through Monday, November 7

We are grateful for our volunteers! Volunteers help with packet pickup, registration, water stations, and cheering and guiding participants along the course. Each volunteer will receive cheeses from local companies and one free 3 Sheeps beverage (redeemable on the evening of the event only) as a token of our appreciation. Sheboygan County Food Bank

The Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk is Sheboygan County Food Bank's primary, annual fundraiser event. Staff and dedicated community members organize the event as a committee, while local businesses and organizations provide generous in-kind donations and sponsorship commitments. By attending this event, you are supporting Sheboygan County Food Bank's mission to lead Sheboygan County’s efforts to increase the food security of its residents by distributing healthy emergency food and fostering innovative partnerships. 





Since 2012, Sheboygan County Rotary Clubs have been coordinating Making Spirits Bright, which is Sheboygan County Food Bank’s largest, annual food drive. Admission to the park is free of charge, but donating healthy food items is highly encouraged. Visitors can enjoy visits with Santa, wreath raffles, entertainment and concessions across the street in the Sheboygan Jaycees Quarryview Center. Making Spirits Bright is open every night, November 25 – December 31, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (closed on Dec. 24). Over 850,000 pounds of food items have been collected over the past 10 years!

Making Spirits Bright offers their venue for the Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk – Sheboygan County Food Bank's second largest, annual fundraiser and only event.
