How it Works
STEP 1
Click HERE to register for the Virtual Hike-a-Thon.
Complete the form and sign the waiver. If you've used the RunSignUp platform before you can login to expedite this step.
STEP 2
Join an existing Activity Team or create a new Activity Team of your own.
This Hike-a-Thon is a community centered event, so this is the step that you find your community! For example, are you in the Dallas, Texas area and want to join our Dallas Team? Or do you feel more connected to our Southern Queer Folks Hikes team? If you don't see a current Activity Team that resonates with you, you have the option to create your own! *Sidenote: there will be an award from best team name, so choose wisely!*
STEP 3
Determine your personal Fundraising Goal.
This will be also be where you create your fundraiser page. We recommend you share more about who you are, why you are supporting We Hike to Heal, Inc and how your network can support your goal. You'll be able to share a direct link for your personal fundraising page with your potential supporters. You'll be able to edit this page later, so don't fear if you can't come up with anything right away. You'll also find some fundraising tips HERE.
STEP 4
Download the RaceJoy App!
This app will be directly connected with the Hike-a-thon to make it easier to track your movement. You also have the option to manually upload your hikes if you prefer, but we'd love to see you in action over at RaceJoy! Read more about how to use RaceJoy here.
STEP 5
Get outside and get to work!
During the 10 day period of the Virtual Hike-a-Thon, all participants will:

Reach out to their networks for donations to contribute to their fundraising goal

Move Outdoors! Preferably with a few friends to help meet their team’s collective movement goals!
