Virtual Races
Are you not able to make it to Salem on race day for the in-person race? If so, then the virtual race is for you! Completing the Salem Half Marathon or 8K Virtually allows runners and walkers who want to participate but can't make it on race day to still complete the event and receive all the amazing Salem swag. It is also an option for those who want to complete the Virginia's Blue Ridge Triple Crown Series or the Bank of Botetourt Triple Crown Sprint Series to complete the event on their own schedule.
Please note: To compete virtually, you still must run the actual race course in person, just not on race day. You are responsible for your own safety while you run- roads will be open to traffic.
How It Works

Register for the virtual distance of your choice.

Run or walk your race anytime between September 10-October 10 on the actual course.

Track your miles using your favorite fitness app or watch.

Submit your results online to see your name on the official virtual finisher list.

Pick up your swag — We'll have it ready for you on Monday, October 13.
