Upstate Youth Series
Where the next generation toes the line.
The Upstate Youth Series is built for our youngest runners and their families: shorter distances, kid-friendly courses and a welcoming introduction to the sport. Any Upstate Race Series race 10K or shorter counts. Every race in the series supports the Giving Series and its 30 local nonprofit partners.

Series Rules
Scoring & Rules
15 events: any race 10K or shorter
Automatic entry. Athletes are automatically entered into the series when they register for any race in it, and are scored automatically by our timing software.
One RunSignUp profile. To make sure your results are scored correctly, use the same RunSignUp profile every time you register for an Upstate Race Series event.
Your age on December 31. You're entered in the age-group category based on your age as of December 31st of the current year. You may still place in your current age group for an individual race, but the series itself is scored based on your end-of-year age.
Best 5 count. Maximum of 5 races can score. If you compete in more than 5, we'll take your top 5 finishes.

Youth Series Finisher
Finish 5 Youth Series races this season to earn the Youth Series Finisher coin and Finisher tee.
Upstate 250 Club
Log 250 or more race miles across Upstate Race Series events in a season to earn the 250 Club buckle.
The Anchor Award
Awarded each year to the runner with the most race miles across the Upstate Race Series. The winner keeps it for the year, and their name goes on it for good.
