My sister, Andria Sauers, was 28 when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Understanding the rarity of her cancer and the uncertainty of the effectiveness of her treatment options made the reality of the situation feel even more dire. With so many cancers on the radar, hers was underfunded and she was mad about that. Her battle lasted 8 months. A promise was made to always support fundraising for sarcoma research and treatments. Over the last 18 years the advancements have been huge for diagnosis, treatment and long term survival for those with sarcomas. Andi would be glad to know things are getting better. And that we miss her dearly. Therefore, I am committing to fundraising for sarcoma research through the Steps for Sarcoma event. Please join me in helping to fund research for a cure. Thank you!
