Meet Ava—a bright, energetic 11-year-old who lights up every room with her kindness and joy. She’s a fierce competitor on the hockey rink and the soccer field, but more than that, she’s a loving daughter, a wonderful sister, and a true fighter.
Recently, Ava was diagnosed with grade 3 ependymoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. This news has changed life for her and her family in an instant, and as they navigate this challenging journey, they need all the love and support they can get.
Ava is surrounded by an incredible team—her parents, her two biggest fans (her brothers!), friends, teammates, and an entire community ready to stand beside her. Right now, we want to do everything we can to lift them up. Whether it’s through kind words, prayers, sharing this page, or contributing in any way, every act of support makes a difference.
This fundraiser is about standing together for Ava. Your support—big or small—will help her family and 1000's of other families in the community that are impacted by childhood cancer.
If you can share her story, you’re helping more than you know. And if you can send love, prayers, or encouragement, please do—because Ava and her family need to feel the incredible team they have behind them.
Ava is a warrior, and with all of us by her side, she will never fight alone.
Thank you for being part of Team Ava.

I am excited to announce that I am joining Paige's Butterfly Run Inc. in their mission to help children in our community fight cancer!
On June 7th I will be participating in Paige's Butterfly Run and have joined a team with fundraising goal of $10,000. Will you help us reach our goal? Your generous gift will benefit the children, and their families, being treated at The Waters Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
When a child is diagnosed, oftentimes one parent leaves their job so they can attend treatments and care for their sick child. Household bills do not stop, expenses typically increase due to frequent travel and hospital stays and families may face medical expenses not covered by insurance.
By making a donation today, you will bring hope to families by helping to: pay household bills, provide meal and gas cards, pay unmet medical expenses, help patients and their families enjoy activities together outside of the hospital setting, help survivors receive long-term follow-up care, and so much more.
Thank you for helping children fighting cancer!
