Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. You can't live in Grand Rapids and call yourself a runner if you haven't tried the River Bank Run! So this year I decided to give it a shot and support an amazing organization in the process.
ICCF Community Homes is a faith-based non-profit in Grand Rapids focused on affordable housing and community development. ICCF believes "that all people deserve safe, affordable housing—and that stable housing is essential to foster a thriving community. God has called us to seek justice in our community, in response to the saving love of Jesus Christ, that others may see His love in action." ICCF aims to foster vibrant communities in West Michigan with connected neighbors, housing justice, and abundant opportunity. They do this through construction of mixed-income and mixed-used developments, management of affordable rental units, emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness, and homeownership education and opportunities.
Last fall, our church (Encounter!) raised funds to re-model not one, but TWO homes in conjunction with ICCF. Throughout the process, ICCF frequented our church and shared stories of life change through access to affordable housing. I am so excited to partner with this great organization in a small, but hopefully meaningful way! Join me as I attempt to raise $1,552 dollars (25k run... equals 15.52 miles... numbers are fun!) for ICCF. Thanks for considering!
