Delilah and I are running the CCC again this year in aid of Youth Run NOLA. (It's possible I am doing it with a broken toe and it's better that my doctor doesn't know..). I'm trying to raise more money than her and she's trying to beat my time. So. Really healthy mother-daughter relationship.
We'd love to raise a massive stash of cash for one of our favorite organizations that provides fantastic encouragement and community for kids who really benefit from it. Youth Run Nola is the opposite of the Youth Sports Industrial Complex that, I am persuaded, is a significant indicator of a lot of what's wrong. If you know me, you have heard me rail against the YSIC so you'll know how important it is to support an organization that swims against the tide of the corporate takeover of children's lives.
Also, we can't wait to run. :)
