Testimonials

  • The continuing education courses at Ripple of Light have been an invaluable part of my professional growth. The small class sizes create a comfortable, engaging environment where I can truly connect with both Dr. Guistwite (Dr. Julie) and other participants. She brings expert knowledge and real-world experience, making the skills we learn not only practical but adaptable to a variety of settings. I especially appreciate the breakout sessions—they give me the chance to practice techniques in a supportive space and leave feeling confident to apply them in my work. I highly recommend these trainings to any professional looking to deepen their skills in grief and bereavement care. Crystal Weiss, LCSW, CCTP, CDP, CGP

  • I have taken many of Julie’s CEU classes and continue to return because I always leave feeling more prepared and inspired in my work with clients.

Julie is an insightful and passionate instructor, and it comes through in every class she teaches. The topics are consistently thought-provoking, relevant, and full of practical information that can be applied directly in clinical work. She encourages discussion, welcomes group participation, and creates space for sharing ideas and perspectives, which makes the learning experience feel collaborative.

Julie is always open to questions and provides practical tips and real-world approaches for working with clients. Each class leaves me with fresh ideas and meaningful ways to connect more effectively with the people I work with. I consistently leave Ripple of Light classes feeling energized, supported, and better equipped to support clients in new and impactful ways. Faye

  • I am an LCSW with 50 years of experience. I have participated in numerous trainings sponsored by Dr. Guistwite (aka “Julie.”) I always learn something new. The trainings are practice-oriented targeting useful skills and not just theory. The trainings also allow for direct participation and Julie is always willing to answer questions.

Bereavement is not a topic that most of us studied in graduate school. It is something we learn via personal experience and ongoing self-education. Julie is an expert in this field. She is not only knowledgeable, but she wants to impart her knowledege to others to make us better practitioners. Beatrice Heck, LCSW

  • I have attended several workshops, offered by Ripple of Light Bereavement Resource Center, LLC. Julie, the facilitator of these workshops is very knowledgeable about this topic. Each workshop was informative, thought-provoking, and interactive.

I have been a clinical social worker for over 30 years and the topics that were offered in terms of grief and loss truly enhanced my clinical skills and assisted me to better serve my patients in terms of their grief journey. I will definitely be attending more of the workshops offered by Ripple of Light Bereavement Resource Center and Julie in the future. Marieeta Warnitsky, LCSW

  • I signed up for Julie Guistwite’s training "Strategies to Strengthen the "Livable" Quality of Life Among Persons with Life-Limiting Conditions” in hopes of learning new ways to support my Long COVID patients, as well as applying the learnings to other chronic and limiting conditions that my clients present with. With 40 years of clinical experience, finding a presenter who incorporates research based and extremely current findings is not always the norm. Julie is a thorough and excellent trainer. She shared both research-based concepts, and their application to clinical practice. Julie’s depth of expertise in grief, loss and adjustment is a hallmark of her presentation. I have sought her out for clinical considerations since that time and value her perspectives greatly. Gretchen Kitsos, LICSW, Private Practice @ gretchenkitsoslicsw.com
