Kip Bohne

President

2022-2025

Kip Bohne serves as President of Friends of the Lansing Regional Trails. He "discovered" the Lansing River trail only a few years ago after purchasing a new bike. Kip was thrilled to see so many views of a town he'd lived in for 40 years. At that point he was hooked! He gladly joined FLRT as a member and met fellow enthusiasts who became friends. As a board member, Kip’s goal is to help promote the regional trails as one of the great resources in our area for walking, jogging, biking and strolling through natural beauty.

Dick Miles

Vice President

2022-2025

As a long time runner and walker, Dick Miles, who lives in East Lansing, has been an avid user of and advocate for Lansing area trails. From 1996 until 2012, Dick served as race director for the Capital City River Run, much of which was run on the Lansing River Trail. Dick also helped promote interest in area trails while serving as a running columnist for the Lansing State Journal. He joined the FLRT board in July of 2019 following his retirement from a long career in Michigan state government.

George Hayhoe

Secretary

2022-2025

George is a businessman, civil engineer, and lawyer based in East Lansing. He has been very involved at every level building trails in his hometown of Mason. George is an active runner and biker, enjoying trails all across Michigan and currently serves as Secretary for FLRT.

James Fulghum

Treasurer

2024-2027

Professionally James is an audit manager with Deloitte, and a licensed CPA in the State of Michigan. He currently provides audit services to healthcare, insurance, and automotive clients. Personally, James is an avid runner, competing in races from 1 mile to the Marathon. James is passionate about the running community, and the use of the regional trails in the area. James resides in Lansing with his partner, Kylee, and their Australian cattle dogs, Zip and Alta.

Cherry Hamrick

2023-2026

Cherry Hamrick is a founding member of the FLRT board, an Ingham County Parks Commissioner, and has run on all 7 continents. Cherry was a race director for many years for the Run for Reading and the Jingle Belle 5k for Women. She retired as Director of the Delta Township District Library, and now spends a lot of time kayaking as well as running and walking trails in the tri-county area.

Dave Rainone

2023-2026

Dave Rainone is an avid walker. He has trained with the Playmaker Men's Group since July 2016 and has competed in many races in the area. Dave is also a member of the Friends of the Ingham County Parks. Besides walking, he also enjoys skiing and homebrewing.

Cat Rathbun

2021-2024

Cat works as a public health technical project manager and lives in downtown Lansing. She is passionate about promoting awareness, use, and expansion of the Lansing Regional Trails to support healthy lifestyles while enjoying beautiful natural resources and opportunities to experience art. Cat believes the trail system is a key component in the Lansing region placemaking efforts.

Cat loves attending art shows, festivals, theater, and live music events. She enjoys travelling, cycling, boating, cooking, wine, gardening, watching MSU sports, and socializing with friends and family.

Sandy Staffeld

2023-2026

Cindy Erickson

2023-2026

In 2004 Cindy was recruited to Lansing from Chicago on a temporary assignment to help implement a new postal program. She found Lansing to be the perfect blend of city and rural living. As a cyclist, runner and dog owner Cindy fell in love with the local trails. 20 years later she considers Lansing home. The retired Postmaster of East Lansing and former Playmakers triathlon coach currently works part-time jobs at Eric’s Cycle and Fitness and the Oak Park YMCA.
