At the Lynchburg Road Runners Club, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. From early race-day setup to capturing finish-line smiles, it’s the dedication of our volunteers that brings our events and mission to life. Whether you’re cheering on runners, handing out water, or lending a creative hand behind the scenes, your support helps keep our club thriving. There are two main ways to get involved with LRRC.

Volunteering at Races

Race-day volunteers play a critical role in creating safe, fun, and successful events for our community. Opportunities often include packet pick-up, post-race hospitality, and helping out on the course. For races that offer an online volunteer sign-up, you’ll find those links listed below. Whether you can help for an hour or the entire event, your time makes a big impact.

Volunteering Directly with LRRC

If you’re interested in getting more involved with the club year-round, we’d love to have you! The best way to connect is by attending one of our monthly LRRC meetings. You can also reach out to us by emailing lynchburgroadrunnersclub@gmail.com or by filling out the Volunteer with LRRC form below. Opportunities to support LRRC include (but are not limited to) marketing, graphic design, helping plan community events such as social gatherings and fun runs, and contributing ideas that help our club continue to grow.

You don’t have to be a runner to volunteer! We welcome anyone who wants to give back to the running and walking community in Lynchburg. However you choose to contribute there’s a place for you at LRRC.
