In addition to our annual Race Series, the Lynchburg Road Runners Club hosts a variety of free events throughout the year designed to support your training and build community. From fun runs to social gatherings and educational meetups, our events bring together runners of all paces and distances. Whether you're new to running or a seasoned marathoner, there's always something happening to help you stay motivated and connected.

2026 Spring / Summer Race Series Awards

When: August 22
Where: Riverside Park
Time: 9:30 am

Join us as we wrap up the 2026 Spring/Summer Race Series following the VA 10 Miler water stops! We’ll recognize our award winners and those who completed every race in the series. Bring your family and enjoy refreshments, socializing, and a celebration of a great season of running!

Virginia 10 Miler, 4+ Miler, & 4+ Mile Walk

When: September 26
Where E.C. Glass High School
Time: 8:00 am - 10:30 am

Join more than 4,000 runners on a historic course that has hosted participants from around the globe. The 10 mile run, 4+ mile run and 4+ mile walk invite men, women, and children of all abilities to participate. The Lynchburg Road Runners Club, founded in 1973 to organize the Virginia 10 Miler, continues to own and organize the Moore & Giles 10 Miler and its associated events.

Dr. John A. Stephenson Memorial Youth Run

When: October 10, 2025
Where: Riverside Park
Time: 9 AM - 10:45 AM

Join area youth runners of all ages for the 33rd Annual Dr. John A. Stephenson Memorial Youth Run presented by the Lynchburg Road Runners. Dr. Stephenson was one of the founding pediatricians of Richeson Drive Pediatrics. Now Lynchburg Pediatrics. He promoted healthy children and being active outside. When he died at a young age a memorial race was started to honor his passion for promoting healthy lifestyles.
