The Elkins Randolph County Public Library is moving forward with plans to renovate and expand the building, following severe water damage from multiple roof leaks 5 years ago. Projects of this size take much longer than anticipated but persistence has paid off and things are finally falling into place! Recently the library was awarded $2.2 million in Federal funds and $1 million in State funds for this $5 million project. The library also has secured a loan to cover remaining construction costs. 

With construction looming in the near future, this year our team is raising funds for an endowment to support long-term debt servicing and increased operational costs for the library. 

When completed, the library will be doubled in size and serve as a modern community hub. More than just a space for books, it will provide space for learning, connection, and growth. Tutoring rooms will be expanded, technology access improved, and there will be larger spaces for essential services and programs for all ages.
