Fundraising Explained

Fundraising during the six-month campaign is critical for the success of each team and its chosen cause.  While award money can provide a nice boost, it should not be the sole focus for teams participating in this initiative.  The real impact comes from actively engaging with communities, utilizing creativity, and exploring various avenues to secure donations.

Teams are encouraged to think outside the box and develop innovative fundraising strategies to connect with supporters and raise awareness of their cause.  This proactive approach not only helps maximize their fundraising potential but also strengthens community involvement and sponsorship.

By committing to consistent efforts throughout the campaign, teams can make a significant difference and demonstrate their dedication to the cause they represent.  Remember, every dollar raised contributes directly to the chosen cause, so the more effort teams put in, the more they can achieve!  Make the most of these six months and elevate your fundraising efforts beyond just awards!  Donations must be submitted by September 21 to be tallied and determine eligibility for fundraising awards.

Entry Fees

Fifty percent of the $12.00 entry fee paid by race participants will be donated to the team and the cause they support.

Team Sponsorships and Team Donations

All team sponsorships and donations gathered by team captains and race participants will be fully allocated to their respective teams and supported causes.

Race Sponsorships

The Tucker Community Foundation allocates the initial funds for the race awards purse.  Race sponsors also contribute to these funds, resulting in cash prizes for teams.  Teams that receive race awards receive 100% of the cash prize.

Fundraising Rules

  • Registered participants cannot offer goods or services in exchange for a sponsor's contribution.  They may send letters and emails to request donations, but cannot use the Tucker Community Foundation logo.

  • Team sponsorships and donations must be postmarked by September 21.

  • Cash awards received by teams must benefit the ten-county service region of the Tucker Community Foundation.

  • Proceeds from entry fees and donations can support areas outside this region if they align with the team's stated cause on the registration form.
