Attention Runners:

You must be registered by August 25, 2023, to be guaranteed a race shirt.

Raise your ribbon!

Last year, you helped provide necessary Dense Breast Software upgrades to better pinpoint which patients need additional levels of cancer screening for accurate diagnosis. You also helped launch the brand-new Breast Cancer Patient Experience Project, focused on improving each patient’s comfort and surroundings while in the Breast Center. This year, we ask you to Raise your Ribbon and join us as we fundraise for a new ultrasound machine for the Breast Center at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children, including an ultrasound table with specialty mattress.

How to get involved:

  • Join as an individual or form a team. Team registration ends October 2 and individual registration ends October 20.
  • Help raise funds and awareness through your own personal fundraising page. Every dollar makes an impact.
  • Teams of 7 or more - team captains will pick up team packets at Huntsville Hospital Foundation on October 16 and 17
  • Individual Runners - pick up your 2023 Liz Hurley Ribbon Run T-shirt and bib at Huntsville Fleet Feet Sports on October 18, 19 or 20.
  • On Saturday, October 21, join us at the 20th annual Ribbon Run! Survivor Walk begins at 8 a.m. & 5K begins at 8:30 a.m.

About the cause:

Local news anchor, Liz Hurley, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, and established the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund at HHF in 1999. Thanks to generous supporters of the fund, more than $6.6 million has been raised to support breast cancer awareness programs and to equip Huntsville Hospital and Madison Hospital Breast Centers with the latest diagnostic technology.
