Out of an abundance of caution for all Ribbon Run participants, volunteers and spectators, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation team has made the decision to once again hold a virtual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run this October. This year’s run will mirror last year’s virtual event, including online registration, online individual and team fundraising, and a race T-shirt for each participant. Lace up your running shoes and run outside, hop on the treadmill or head to your favorite trail. We hope you will mark your calendar and plan to register again this year. Every mile and every dollar makes a difference, no matter where you are.
WAFF 48 news anchor Liz Hurley established the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation in 1999 following her own fight against breast cancer. Thanks to generous supporters of the fund, more than $6 million has been raised to support breast cancer awareness programs and to equip not-for-profit Huntsville and Madison Hospital Breast Centers with the latest diagnostic technology.
