Beat the heat with a gorgeous run!
All-Out Beat the Heat
Saturday, April 19, 2025 7a
Church Ranch Office Park, Westminster, CO
Half Marathon
Weather
Disclaimer: not a meteorologist.
What a difference a day makes! There is a cold front coming in on late Thursday that will cool the weather down for us on race day. It will be pretty cloudy and cool with temps going from the lower to upperr 30s.
The big story is the snow all day Friday. Many meteorologists seem to be settling at 4" accumulation, but some models have as low as 1.5" and as high as 6" accumulation. There is also a 50% potential for snow to fall during our event.
Both the 10K and half marathon courses included soft surface that has some spots with uneven footing and no plowing. We value the safety of our athletes, so we are working with the City of Westminster to adjust our course to be all on concrete trails that will likely be plowed through the day on Friday (the City of Westminster is awesome!).
If our course change is approved, I will be sending out emails to all registered athletes with info on the changes. If you did not get your email, please click on Athlete Details above. **We will be holding the event as scheduled with this current forecast.**

Virtual participation
If the upcoming weather does not meet your training goals or running style, you can change to virtual participation. I will hold open virtual participation changes with no fee until Friday, April 18, 6p. If you decide to change after that, a $5 shipping fee will apply and will be dependent on sock availability (we won't be able to set your socks aside after Friday 6p). Virtual participation means that we will mail you a bib, SWAG, sticker, and finishers medal and you can run your distance at your leisure when the weather works for you. If you submit your time before Wednesday, April 23, your time will be included in the Run Amok Championship scores.
To switch to virtual participation, log into RunSignup and switch to your desired virtual distance and confirm your address is correct. If you are not able to, self-change, email events@alloutmultipro.com with your mailing address and the virtual distance that you would like to run.
Join us for the 13th annual Beat the Heat event, where one of Colorado's favorite trails meets one of its most glorious parks, all in support of Adaptive Adventures! Follow the winding courses southwest along Big Dry Creek Trail, and enjoy the breathtaking sight of Standley Lake against the backdrop of the majestic Flatirons. Its Endless Series sidekick in September is Fallfest. Get ready to journey back to the 80s at Beat the Heat, complete with leg warmers, scrunchies, neon colors, and the beats of Run-D.M.C. And don't forget to dress up for our 80s costume contest - it's going to be rad!
