Race

The Youth Fun Run is a staple of the Calvin Classic race. Participants ages 3–9 enjoy warmups before their starting time at 9:30 a.m. Then, run your fastest in one of three distances:

• 100 meters (ages 3–4)
• 0.25 mile (ages 5–6)
• 0.5 mile (ages 7–9)
• Age ranges are flexible based on what's appropriate for each child.

Parents may accompany very young children (no registration needed for parents).

Logistics

Calvin University campus roadways begin to close between 8–8:15 a.m. for the 5k. After the bulk of runners are through the first stretch, the Lake Drive and Burton Street entrances to campus will reopen. Plan to arrive through one of these entrances, and head to the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex for packet pickup. From there, a volunteer will direct you to the Youth Fun Run's starting point.
