What is the Haven Midwifery Virtual 5K?

The Haven Midwifery Virtual 5K is a run/walk event that you can complete at your own pace and location. This event is designed to support Haven Midwifery and promote health and wellness within our community.

When can I complete the 5K?

You can complete the 5K anytime from your registration date until September 20, 2024. This allows you the flexibility to choose a time and place that works best for you.

How do I register for the event?

You can register for the Haven Midwifery Virtual 5K on our official event website. Follow the registration link, fill out the required information, and submit your registration fee.

Participation

Where can I run or walk my 5K?

You can run or walk your 5K anywhere you choose! This could be in your neighborhood, at a local park, on a treadmill, or any other location that is safe and convenient for you.

Do I need to complete the 5K all at once?

No, you do not need to complete the 5K all at once. You can break it up into smaller segments if that is more comfortable for you. Just make sure to track your total distance to ensure you complete the full 5 kilometers.

How do I track my distance?

You can track your distance using a variety of methods, such as a GPS watch, fitness app on your smartphone, or a treadmill. Some popular apps include Strava, MapMyRun, and Runkeeper.

Do I need to submit my results?

While submitting your results is not mandatory, we encourage you to share your completion time and experience with us. You can do this by posting on social media with the hashtag #HavenMidwifery5K or by submitting your results through our event website.

Event Materials

Will I receive a race bib or medal?

Yes, all registered participants will receive a digital race bib that you can print at home. Additionally, participants who complete the 5K and submit their results will receive a commemorative medal, which will be mailed to the address provided during registration.

Are there any special event T-shirts?

Yes, you can purchase an official Haven Midwifery Virtual 5K T-shirt during the registration process. The T-shirts will be shipped to you in the continental US after 8/31/ 24.

Fundraising and Donations

How does this event support Haven Midwifery?

All proceeds from the registration fees and additional donations will go directly to supporting Haven Midwifery. These funds will help us continue to provide funding for the capital campaign.

Can I make an additional donation?

Absolutely! You can make an additional donation during the registration process or by visiting our donation page on the event website.
