Hermes Half a Half Marathon

FAQ

Where and when does this race start?

The Hermes Half a Half Marathon was on Saturday, March 25, 2023 and begins & ends at Emerald Necklace Marina of the Cleveland Metroparks.

The 2024 event will open September 1.

What is the cost to participate?

$40 if registered by February 25. $45 through race morning if the event is not sold out.

What time does the race start and what time do I need to be there?

The race starts at 8:00AM.

We recommend parking at the Marina at least 1 hour before.

Walkers and participants expecting to finish at a 15 minute/mile pace and up will start at 7:30AM. This early start is only offered for participants at this pace.

Are strollers/dogs allowed?

Yes, but those participants must start in the back of the group and dogs must be on short leashes/not come in direct contact with other runners. (pass wide)

Are headphones allowed?

Yes, but runners must still be able to hear their surroundings at all times. 

What is the course like?

The 6.5 Mile route is on pavement and is very flat, and smooth - sending runners down and back up Rocky River Reservation. 

Do we see water or restrooms along the route?

Yes! Runners will pass the water stop (2) times throughout the course.

Restrooms are located  1.3 and 4.7 miles in. We still suggest to bring your own hand-held water bottle, as needed. 

What is parking like at Emerald Necklace Marina?
Right off Valley Parkway, the Marina parking lot is easily accessible to the start/finish and check-in. Restrooms are accessible on the northwest side of the Marina. We suggest carpooling when possible.

Is there an early packet pickup? What do I need to bring?

Yes, and we highly suggest grabbing your race items early to avoid the race morning packet pick-up lines outside.

We also recommend you have your confirmation email handy when picking up.

What time is race morning packet pickup?
Race morning pickup is 6:30am-7:45am at the Emerald Necklace Marina pavilion.

(Right by the start line and Marina parking lot)

Is there a pace requirement?

 No! You may walk. We have an early start for walkers. 

Are there awards?
Yes! Every finisher receives a snazzy Half an Half spinner medal.
Everyone is also in contention for various awards such as the "biggest negative split". See AWARDS tab for more!

What else is included with my entry?

All runners receive accurate split point (3.2) and LIVE finisher (6.5) results, a Half a Half Mug OR race shirt (sizes subject to availability after March 13), post race refreshments/snacks, water stops, searchable race photos and the opportunity to earn extra bonus prizes throughout.

If I am no longer able to run, can I receive a refund?

We are sorry, but we are not able to allow refunds for this event. You may not simply give your bib to another runner and you may not sell it. You can transfer your registration to another runner for $8 by following the steps HERE
