L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc. (LACFRC) is a 501(C)(3) non profit organization with a non-salaried group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to organize and stage events and programs; promoting health, fitness, and cultural awareness to the greater Los Angeles community. All proceeds are reinvested in the community and surrounding areas in support of elementary schools and other non-profit organizations, providing service and programs that benefit local neighborhoods.

The Firecracracker Festival is a family friendly fun event held in conjunction with the weekend events. The festival features live stage entertainment along with booths and vendors from various organizations, non-profits, and businesses.

*20mi and 50 mi Bike, 5K and 10K Run/Walk: 943 N. Broadway, Los Angeles

*Paw'er Dog Walk: Look for balloon arch by Broadway Cuisine Restaurant and Blossom Plaza

*Kiddie Run: Look for balloon arch by Bank of America

If you'd like your name and/or team name on your bib, must register by Jan. 22, 2027. No exceptions will be made. 

ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:

• Custom designed Lunar New Year T-shirt specific to the participant’s registered event

• Custom Lunar New Year Finisher medal (Note: You must finish the race in order to receive the medal.)

• Custom designed Goodie Bag (Note: Virtual Participants receive the Bag only, that is without the goodies since food items will not be sent in the mail.)

• Lunar New Year Race Bib

• One FREE Beer at the Firecracker Beer Garden (21 years and older) for Bike events, and 5K & 10K Run/Walk events only.  (Sorry, no beer for Paw'er Dog Walk or Kiddie Run participants.)

• Free Chow Mein Carbo Load on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2027, from 10am-2pm.

• Free Bag Check-in service available during the hours of the event for Bike participants on Saturday and Run participants who are Metro riders on Sunday. Participants are encouraged to use Metro and exit at Chinatown Station.

• Hydration stations on the courses and refreshments at the end of the course

• Access to Firecracker Festival booths from vendors, sponsors and community organizations that support the Firecracker event

Discounts

There are several ways to receive special discounts and group discounts before the event. 

Note: Discounts can be only be applied once to your registration but you can also receive a refund for referrals. See Referral Refunds below.

1. Register early and get the Early Bird $5 Discount offered during the first week of registration. 

2. Use special $5 off promotion coupon which is offered in December and beginning of registration periods.

3. Have 10 people register on the same registration and each person gets $5 off automatically.

4. Register for 2 events in the same transaction and you will automatically get $10 off the total. 

5. Complete the "Contact Us" Form and state that you have a large group (10+) registering and ask for a special $5 group discount code. Provide the names to the registrar.

Referral Refunds

Requirements:

If you refer others to register using your referral link (they must use your link), you will get a referral refund:

• 3 of the same event registered - $10

• 5 of the same event registered - $20 (This is the maximum you can receive.)

Referral refunds are treated separately from discount coupons codes. You will get a referral refund if the above requirements are met but only one discount coupon code can be applied to a registration. Therefore, you can receive a discount to your registration and a referral refund. 

NO REFUND POLICY - All registration fees are non-refundable. 

MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR REGISTRATION

You may make changes to your registration. You may view and edit most of your information once you have registered for an event. Events, shirt size, shipping address etc. may be updated. Please ensure that your shipping address is correct.

However, you cannot make changes to your subaccounts, people who registered under your account. You would have to contact registration@firecracker.org to request any changes to their registration. 

Deferrals

You may DEFER your registration once per event year to the following year only.

Transfers

You may TRANSFER your registration to another person or to another event during the same event year. Event changes will incur a cost if the price of the event has increased or if the event changed to, is a different price. Deadline is Feb. 3, 2027.

When you transfer your registration to another person (You will need their email address); the other person will receive an email and will need to "Claim the Transfer" and then complete the registration. See example of email sent to other person:

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS ONLY

All registrations must be made online. No paper registrations are available. Online registration remains open until the start of the event as long as the event has not sold out. 

Note: You may not alter, reproduce, give, or sell your race number to another individual. Doing so will result in your disqualification as well as disqualification of the individual who uses your race number. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, act of God, etc. There are no exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page. All events will be held rain or shine.

Firecracker’s volunteers are the heart of the organization. Each year, hundreds of volunteers work with the Firecracker Committee to make the annual Run/Walk, Bike Rides, Kiddie Run and the PAW'er Dog Walk a success by generously donating their time and expertise to serve the local community.
