Description
Each year during the week of August 25-31, Black Breastfeeding Week is celebrated nationwide. Black Breastfeeding Week was started to raise awareness of disparities in Black mothers’ breastfeeding rates compared to other groups, and possible remedies for these inequities.
To commemorate Black Breastfeeding Week, The Louisville Coalition for Black Maternal Health will be co-hosting a 5K fundraising run/walk relay.
The goal of the Chocolate Milk March 5K is to raise awareness and funds for scholarships that support educating Black lactation professionals and local organizations that support Black breastfeeding.
Join us in person on Sunday, August 27th at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center's indoor track or complete the run virtually.
Come celebrate with music, food, vendors, and family friendly fun!
