“Simply walking every day for 30-60 minutes along with eating a predominately plant-based diet can have tremendous health benefits like more energy, improved mood and ability to sleep, better balance and coordination skills, stronger bones and muscles and better weight control. Choosing a healthier lifestyle can also reduce your risk of developing a chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease and cancer; and if you have a chronic disease, eating right and staying active can help you manage the condition and improve your quality of life. Bottom line, whoever you are and whatever age, each and every one of us should be more responsible for our health and committing to a healthier lifestyle - do it for the health of it." - Lindsay Maher, BWC Executive Director
