Description

Are you looking for a challenge beyond the typical road race and an event that will build lasting Team camaraderie...then you are ready for Peak to Brew.

 

The PEAK to BREW Relay (P2B) Event is a Long Distance Van Supported Team Running Event in the beautiful Adirondacks of NY.  The P2B ADK Relay consists of a “BEAST” and “SPRINT” event.  “BEAST of the EAST” is a 227 mile Relay from Whiteface Mt to Saranac Brewery with 6-12 Runner (1-2 Van) Teams, while the “SPRINT” Relay is a 66 mile Relay from the Tug Hill to Saranac Brewery with 3-6 Runner (1 Van) Teams. The “SPRINT” course follows the last 12 Legs of the “BEAST” course with both finishing at Saranac Brewery for an EPIC Post-Race Party.

 

P2B ADK takes Runners on the ULTIMATE Relay Experience from an Epic Start on Whiteface Mt in the High Peaks, through the Heart of the Adirondacks and on a Journey of a Lifetime to the Saranac Brewery.  P2B is truly the ULTIMATE Relay Experience!!

P2B ADK Relay Event Comparison

BEAST & SPRINT RELAY: Team Pace will need to be between 6:00-11:00 min/mile

IMPORTANT 'BEAST' RELAY TEAMS: 

  • TEAM PACE < 7:30 min/mi: Your Team will likely incur a 'Team Hold Time' on the Course (at a Major Exchange) for your safety.  This will NOT be a penalty and this Hold Time will be subtracted from your Teams Finish Time to give an accurate Total Race Time.
  • TEAM PACE > 10:00 min/mi:  Your Team will likely incur a 'Team Move Ahead Time' on the Course (at a Major Exchange) for your safety.  This WILL be a TIME penalty and this Move Ahead Time will be added to your Teams Finish Time to give an accurate Total Race Time.
  • TAKE AWAY: If you think you will be faster or slower then the Required Team Pace not to worry, you can still compete if you are okay with being held at a Major Exchange if you are to fast or moved ahead if you are to slow!

 

TEAM EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS (PROVIDED BY TEAMS):

  • Support Vehicle (1-2 depending on Team type and size). Must meet requirements outlined on website
  • Safety Equipment (Reflective Vests, Headlamps/Flashlights, Flashing Taillight)
    • USE DURING NIGHT HOURS: 7PM - 7AM
  • All participants are required to agree and sign a Participants Waiver prior to completing registration

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:

Minimum allowed participant age is 16 years of age by race day. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult over 21 and have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver and registration.

 

TEAM VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

NO VOLUNTEER FEES...NO HIDDEN FEES.  Instead let us PAY you for providing Volunteers...that's right P2B will give Teams who provide race weekend Volunteers a discount into the following years Registration (this discount will be in addition to your VIP Discount you receive as a REPEAT Team):

  • The Team Volunteer Incentive will be a $50 per Volunteer Discount (with a Max Cap)
  • Volunteers will need to be registered under the Team on Run Signup by 31 July to be eligible
  • The Discount Code will be issued to the Team Captain after the race and Volunteer Supporting

Volunteer Discount Cap by Team Type:

  • Up to 4 Volunteers = Total Discount Max of $200:
    • BEAST: Standard Teams
  • Up to 2 Volunteers = Total Discount Max of $100:
    • BEAST: Ultra Teams
    • BEAST: 6-Pack Teams & SPRINT: 6-Pack Teams
  • Up to 1 Volunteers = Total Discount Max of $50:
    • SPRINT: 4-Pack Teams & SPRINT: 3-Pack Teams

  • 8 AUG: 'BEAST' Packet Pickup @ Ski Jumping Complex 'Intervales Lodge' (4:00-9:00PM)

    • IMPORTANT: At Least 1 Representative from each Team is required to attend Packet Pickup on 8 AUG
  • 9 AUG: 'BEAST' Race Day Packet Pickup @ Whiteface Mt Hwy under Castle (4:30-10:00AM)

    • IMPORTANT: At Least 1 Representative from each Team is required to attend Packet Pickup
  • 9 AUG: 'BEAST' Relay Team Start Waves @ Whiteface Mt Hwy under Castle (5:00-10:30AM)

Peak 2 Brew ADK Relay Course(s):

  • 'BEAST' of the East = Epic Start atop Whiteface Mt under Castle, 220+ mile course through the HEART of the ADK, all leading to the Saranac Brewery
  • 'SPRINT' = Beautiful Start at the base of the Tug Hill Plateau, for an epic climb up the Tug Hill and following the last 12 Legs of the 'BEAST' course, all leading to the Saranac Brewery

'BEAST' RELAY:

  • STANDARD TEAMS = 4 Legs/Runner in Van #1 + 3 Legs/Runner in Van #2 
  • ULTRA TEAMS = 7 Legs/Runner in 1 Van
  • 6 PACK TEAMS Either Van #1 or Van #2 of a Standard Team (3-4 Legs/Runner depending on Van #)

  • 3-PACK TEAMS = 4 Legs/Runner
