Meet the Instructors
Meet the wonderful instructors that will be leading one of the live sessions for Pedaling 4 Paige at Elevate Fitness!
Michelle Romano, Renee Gabriel and Diane Sorbello.
Michelle is at 9:00, leading the Beginner’s class.
Michelle became a certified Spinning instructor in 2019, and began teaching her own spin classes at Elevate Fitness DeWitt in September 2021. She takes a technical approach to instructing, and likes to motivate members who attend her classes with great music, positive energy, and a variety of challenges on the bike.
Renee Gabriel is at 10:00.
Hello!!! My name is Renee Gabriel. I have been a cycling instructor for 14 years at Elevate Fitness in Liverpool. After my 3rd child was born, I was encouraged to start teaching spin as I fell in love with cycling, both indoors and outside. Moving to music is what motivates me when I exercise and teach indoors. I love to engage my class by singing or an occasional clapping of the hands to feel the beat of the music. However, it most important for my class to do what’s good for his/her body as everyone’s fitness level is different. Whether you’re a beginner to exercise/spin or an advanced cyclist or somewhere in between, I want you to leave my class having fun and feeling great! I am happy to be returning to Pedaling for Paige this year as it is a cause very dear to me.
Diane Sorbello is at 11:00.
My name is Diane Sorbello. I have been a cycling instructor at Elevate Fitness in Syracuse, NY for almost 10 years. I was initially certified in the MOSSA RIDE program and then became certified in the SPINNING program. What does that mean to you? YOU GET AWESOMENESS IN AN INSTRUCTOR (did you feel my
personality there??)!! I became an instructor not only because I love to ride, but because fitness journeys are important, starting with my own and then learning of others’…and each person’s is different, which is the beauty of learning about them! If I can help someone integrate routine exercise into their journey, my role is validated. Exercise and fitness journeys are very mental, which is why I am committed to helping people understand more about themselves and how they can push themselves without injury! Music motivates me, so the right mix of music for cycling is important for an awesome experience. What music do I like?
EVERYTHING…I can find a spin routine in almost every song! I love to sing along while I teach, and I love a great cadence…my specialty is climbing, and my classes lean heavily towards that…but there is always a sprinkle of sprints and flats in my classes! I am honored to be an instructor for P4P and have been since its inception! Giving back to the community is important and if this is how I can help others fundraise for eradicating childhood cancers, then “my job is done”.
