Rainbow Row brings together a thoughtfully selected group of local organizations representing different pillars of queer life and different stages of a person’s journey. Together, they reflect the many ways community can show up over a lifetime: through creativity, movement, health, connection, stability, and support.

Most of these organizations welcome and serve people well beyond the LGBTQ+ community, but each is either rooted in queer community, shaped by queer experience, or primarily focused on serving LGBTQ+ people and their needs. Rainbow Row is our way to help Big Gay 5K participants see the breadth of that work, meet the organizations doing it, and understand that supporting queer community means supporting people through far more than one moment, one issue, or one stage of life.

• Sports & Physical Activity — Tucson Roller Derby
  Building inclusive community through movement, teamwork, competition, and a little controlled chaos.
• Health & Wellness — Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF)
  Providing affirming health services, HIV care and prevention, support programs, and community resources.
• Aging & Connection — Southern Arizona Senior Pride
  Celebrating, supporting, and connecting LGBTQI+ adults 55+ and their younger allies.
• Housing Security & Skills Development — Building Out Safer Spaces (BOSS)
  Supporting safer, more stable futures through housing-focused work, practical skills, and community development.

Throughout Big Gay Weekend, participants will have opportunities to donate directly to these organizations, learn more about their work, and meet the people behind it—whether that’s at a Rainbow Row table, out on the course, on the finish-line stage, or through other event-weekend activations.
