Registration & Packet Pickup
PACKET PICKUP: for the convenience of our runners, we will have several packet pickups before the race. We strongly encourage you to pick up before race day to avoid long lines.
Exact Dates, Times and locations will be announced as we get closer to race day.
RACE WEEKEND DIRECTIONS: The start/finish line for the St. Petersburg Distance Classic is at North Shore Park; it is easily accessible at St. Petersburg’s waterfront, just north of the Vinoy Resort. If you need to Google or GPS North Shore Park, please use 901 N Shore Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, Fl 33701 as the address.
If you are picking up for a group, it helps us tremendously if you have all the names written on a sheet of paper. This will expedite the process and keep the line moving. Extra points for having them in alphabetical order!
We try our best, but we can not guarantee T-shirt sizes on race weekend. When you register, the shirt size you choose gives us an idea of how many T-shirts we should order per size. We place our order at least three weeks before race day to allow for shipping and printing. We add a percentage to account for the runners who register after placing the order. We hate to disappoint, but we don’t have a crystal ball to predict what size T-shirts the new registrants will require. Due to the likelihood of attrition, we provide shirts on a first come basis to those athletes who show up. So, come early!

5:00 to 6:45 am Packet pickup/registration at North Shore Park
6:00 am Walkers’ Early Start for Marathon, Halfathon and 10K ONLY
6:30 am Start of St. Petersburg Marathon, Halfathon, 10K
7:00 am Start of St. Petersburg 5K Run/Walk
8:00 am Post-race party and Awards Ceremony, starting with 10K overall and age-group awards
5K overall and age group awards
Halfathon overall and age group awards
Marathon overall and age group awards
1:30 pm Finish Line closes
Course Limits
As ALL courses use the same roads and Pinellas Trail as the Marathon, there is NO time limit for the 5K, 10K, and Halfathon.
Walkers are welcome in all our races, with an early start at 6:00 am, if necessary . Please stay on the sidewalk until runners starting at 6:30 am pass by.
The finish line for all races will be open for 7 hours from the 6:00 am early start until 1:00 pm. The course on public roads will open to traffic based on that pace. For instance, marathoners should be at the midpoint by 9:30 am, regardless of the start time. Athletes slower than that must move to the sidewalks and adhere to all pedestrian laws.
Bag Check
Bag check will be available near the registration and packet pickup tent. This is strictly by the honor system. No wallets, cell phones, or other valuables should be put in the bags, as we cannot be responsible for missing items.
Directions & Parking
The start/finish line at North Shore Park is easily accessible at St. Petersburg’s waterfront, just north of the Vinoy Resort! If you need to Google or GPS North Shore Park, please use 901 N Shore Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
Parking immediately adjacent to the start/finish line area at North Shore Park is available for athletes in the Marathon ONLY for safety reasons. Marathon runners will be provided with parking passes prior to race day to allow entrance into the area.
There is ample parking near the tennis courts about 1/4 mile north of the start/finish line, as well as in the residential neighborhoods near the start/finish line. There are restrictions os please look for signs stating what they are.
Finally, city officials have requested us to suggest our athletes to park at the Sundial Parking Lot, located at 117 2nd Street North, for a flat fee of $5.00.
