Race Ambassador Program
Race Ambassadors are super-fans of the Standing Stone Half Marathon & Running Festival and are eager to share the event with others (both online and in real life). Race ambassadors share the race with others in a variety of ways. Some of those ways might include promoting the race on social media, handing out flyers to local gyms and running stores, leading a group run, holding an information session, or sharing their training regime/training runs through social media. You’ll see them throughout the months leading up to the Standing Stone Half Marathon. Post-race activities might include sharing photos of race day.
Race Ambassadors can receive a number of perks (depending upon level of involvement) including:
A Complimentary Registration for the 5K, 8K or Half Marathon
Official Standing Stone Half Marathon Marathon Ambassador Race Gear
Free swag or discounts
Your bio, photo, and social media links on our website
Featured on our Facebook and Twitter pages
Media opportunities during race weekend
Meet a group of amazing new runner Standing Stone Half Marathon friends (staff, runners, volunteers, charity partners and sponsors) with whom you can connect through social media, meet-up runs, and more!
Notice: Standing Stone Half Marathon Race Ambassadors are not employees, freelancers or contractors. They are purely volunteers. We do not subsidize travel or training expenses or issue payment of any kind. Ambassadors serve from January to December, and are encouraged to reapply for future years.
