Team Categories
The Standing Stone Half Marathon has four team categories.
Open Teams - Open Groups can include alumni groups, charity/cause groups, family groups, friends, social clubs, and unofficial/unrecognized running clubs, etc. Open groups require a minimum of 3 or more team members.
Running clubs - This category is for recognized running clubs that were formed for the primary purpose of running and were NOT created for the sole purpose of participating in this particular event. Running Clubs must be recognized by either USATF or Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) or Runsignup. Running Clubs NOT recognized by either USATF, RRCA or Runsignup must register under the OPEN GROUPS category. Running clubs require 4 or more members.
Corporate Teams - Corporate teams consist of employees of a company/business. Corporate teams often help to raise money for charities. Business/Corporate sponsors may be awarded free race entries depending under the level of sponsorship, which can be used to build/grow their team. Corporate teams require a minimum of 3 or more members.
Relay Teams - 2-person relay teams can participate in the half marathon. Each runner competes roughly 6.55 miles. Relay member #1 completes roughly the first half of the half marathon and relay member #2 completes the second half of the half marathon. Relay member #2 must wait in the relay exchange zone and wait until relay member #1 enters the relay exchange zone. Both members of a 2-person relay team get a finisher medal and t-shirt (t-shirts are not guaranteed if the team registers after 9/26) Relay teams require exactly 2 team members. If 4 or more relay teams register for the Standing Stone Half Marathon Relay, a prize will be issued to the 1st place overall relay team.
Team Discounts
Open Teams:
Standing Stone 5K - All members of an open team after the 20th member pays just $20. per registration no matter how many more people sign-up for that team after its 20th member.
Running Teams Discounts:
Members of Runsignup recognized clubs get a $6.00 discount!
Standing Stone Half Marathon - After the #8 team member signs up to for the half marathon, each following team member that registers for the half marathon will pay a $55. registration fee. This price applies until Oct. 5, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Standing Stone 5K - After the #8 team member signs up to for the 5K, each following team member that registers for the 5K will pay a $25. registration fee. This price applies until Oct. 5, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Juniata Valley 8K - After the #6 team member signs up to for the 8K, each following team member that registers for the 8K will pay a $30. registration fee. This price applies until Oct. 5, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Standing Stone Challenge - After the #8 team member signs up to for the Standing Stone Challenge, each following team member that registers for the challenge will pay a $70. registration fee. This price applies until Oct. 5, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Alfarata Mile - After the #6 team member signs up to for the mile, each following team member that registers for the mile will pay a $12. registration fee. This price applies until Oct. 5, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Relay Teams:
No discount is provided for 2-member half marathon relay teams at this time.
