" The Pistol Creek races are a must do in East Tennessee. The courses are beautiful and run largely on the greenway, which are fairly flat and have virtually no road traffic. Since the course has many out and backs, you consistently see other runners and are never alone. The most enjoyable part of the marathon for me was being able to cheer on the ultra-runners who had been on the course for 24+ hours. I can tell they really appreciated the encouragement and it helped motivate me as well. Enjoyable and logistically easy race. So glad I was finally able to partake. Looking forward to next year!
