Many hands make light work at the Every Step Counts Autism Walk & 5K Run from 9:00AM-Noon. More than 100 volunteers help us at this event. As the Volunteer Liaison, check in volunteers when they arrive. Help them select a volunteer t-shirt and connect with the volunteer lead for their task or find their work station. Before they leave, record their hours, collect their t-shirt, process their service hour paperwork, and learn about their volunteer experience.

Parking will be located on the south side of Centennial Park, with overflow parking at Columbia Presbyterian Church across Rt. 108. On-site training and safety equipment (vests, flags, etc.) will be provided.

Not everyone gets to it ahead of time. Help participants register at the Every Step Counts Autism Walk & 5K Run from 9:00AM-Noon. Volunteers will process day-of registrations online on the event website or off-line with paper forms. Volunteers need experience registering on a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Registration will be open until 15 minutes before Start time. Volunteers will coordinate with Check-in and T-shirt Runners to distribute race packets (t-shirts and bibs).

Lend a guiding hand with a cheer and a wave at the Every Step Counts Autism Walk & 5K Run from 9:00AM-Noon. Direct walk/run participants on the race route, take down distance/direction/sponsor signs, and clean up along the Walk/5K Run course. Volunteers must be able to walk 3 miles and stand for at least an hour until runners and walkers have finished the course.
