Logistics Team

Pre-race tasks

Course Marshall team Medium Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This team consists of 2 volunteers
- One will direct traffic in a single location
- One will be all over the course

Volunteers will check in at the start/finish to receive their position assignments, Job Aid, and Thank You volunteer gift.

The positions are
- Crossing guard: make sure runners safely cross the park road onto the Trinity Trails. Make sure that returning runners safely cross from the Trinity Trails
- Bunny on a Bike: cruise the course while wearing Ears & Tail to keep track of runners. First Aid/ CPR certification preferred. (We'll provide the bike or scooter!). This position will act as a course sweep, and should coordinate with the Lead Volunteer at the 5K turn-around, and with the Race Director at the start/finish line

Course Setup team

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Help us set up the course!

Course Set Up volunteers will check in at the Start/finish to get your assignment, Job Aid, Map and supplies. You'll also pick up your volunteer "Thank You" bag.:

PLEASE BRING A HEADLAMP, you will be starting in the dark

Course setup volunteers will put signage at the major intersections. You can drive to most locations, but there are some spots that aren't accessible by car.

We highly recommend that course setup volunteers work together until it's light out.

We'll chalk the course the day before so you know where to put the turn-around signs, but you'll have a map and more chalk just in case.

Waterstop

Water Stop team

Minimum met.

Details

Join our waterstop team! There are two waterstops: 5K & 10K.

Each team has at least 3 volunteers:
- At least 1 of them will be bilingual.
- At least one will be a photographer

Waterstop teams will check in at the Start/finish to get your assignment, Job Aid and supplies. You'll also pick up your volunteer "Thank You" bag.:
- Job Aid (This tells you what you need to know to work your position)
- Cowbells
- Milk crate of water

Waterstop teams will go to their waterstop. (You will probably want to drive.)

At the waterstop:
- 1 person will take pictures
- 1 person will record bib numbers
- 1 person will hand out water
- Everyone on the team will cheer on the runners and make sure that runners turn around appropriately.

When you are done, you can leave your supplies there if you don't need to go back to the start/finish for anything.

Start/Finish

Packet Pickup Team Medium Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

The Packet Pickup team team needs at least 2 volunteers:
- At least one needs to be willing to install the RunSignup RaceDay app on their phone.
- This team will work with the Race Director to handle race-day registrations

High-level overview:
- Team members will check in at the Start/finish to get your Job Aid, and pick up your volunteer "Thank You" bag.
- Everyone on the team will pitch in for setup
- Once packet pickup starts, one person will talk to the runner, look them up ,and confirm their bib number, distance & shirt size. The other will grab the shirt and packet.
- The team will break down the packet pickup area.

Choose Friday packet pickup if you want a more relaxed shift. You'll do some organizing, hand out some packets, and socialize.
Choose Saturday packet pickup if you like a fast-paced environment.

Start / Finish Team

This team needs at least 3 volunteers:
- At least one of them will be bilingual.
- At least one will be a photographer

Check in at the Start/finish to get your assignment, Job Aid and pick up your volunteer "Thank You" bag.

At the start/finish:
- Everyone on the team will pitch in for setup
- Once the race starts, 1 person will take photos
- One person will hand out medals
- One person will man the water/snack table
- Anyone that can stay, please pitch in to breakdown.
