Turkey Trot Flyer Distribution (Flexible Timing)

Details

Flexible volunteer opportunity! You can complete this on your own time before 11/15/26.

Goal: Spread the word about Turkey Trot! Visit local businesses in a specific neighborhood, asking if we can hang up a Turkey Trot poster and/or leave flyers for people to take as they visit the businesses.

Who can do this? Anyone, so long as you can get transportation to IFCB and to your assigned area. You can sign up as an individual or as a group. Great opportunity for high schoolers or families.

What does flyer distribution include?
1. Individuals or small groups can sign up to distribute flyers.
2. Shortly after you've signed up, IFCB staff will reach out to you to share the specific area that we need coverage and tips for success.
3. You will come get all the materials you need for this project from the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank (including posters, flyers, tape, instructions, etc.).
4. We ask that you go door-to-door to the businesses and establishments in your assigned area and ask if you can put up a poster or leave a stack of flyers advertising the Issaquah Turkey Trot event.
5. Once your area has been covered, any leftover materials will be returned to the food bank.

Help us spread the word! Volunteers will head out in small groups to deliver flyers to nearby neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and local residents. By making sure our community is informed about road closures, you’ll play a key role in keeping traffic smooth and stress-free on Turkey Trot day.

Be part of the behind-the-scenes magic! Volunteers will help prepare key areas of the Turkey Trot, including the start/finish line, sponsor and vendor booths, the photo booth, and the Gobble Wobble prize table.

Create a warm and inviting experience for our guests! Volunteers will set up the refreshment station (coffee, cocoa, and cider), serve drinks, keep the area stocked and tidy, and help with clean-up after the event.
