30 Events | 30 Nonprofit Partners
The Upstate Giving Series connects the 30 events produced by the Upstate Race Series with 30 nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout Upstate South Carolina.
Each event provides participants with an opportunity to support a designated local charity through registration, donations, fundraising, and increased community awareness. Every dollar donated through the Giving Series goes directly to organizations already doing meaningful work — supporting children and families, improving health and wellness, caring for animals, protecting our environment, and providing essential resources to people in need.
These organizations are more than names on a race page. They are local partners with boots on the ground, working every day to make the Upstate a healthier, stronger, and more connected place.
Last year, our races helped generate more than $500,000 in registrations and donations benefiting local nonprofits. In 2026, we formalized the Upstate Giving Series to expand that impact and make it easier for every participant to see the organization their miles are supporting.

You are entered in the age group category based on your age as of December 31st of the current year. You may still place in your current age group category for individual races, but the series is scored based on your end-of-year age. Athletes are automatically entered into the series when they register for any race and are scored automatically by our timing software. To ensure automatic scoring, please use the same RunSignUp profile when registering for any Upstate Race Series event.
Maximum of 5 races can score. If you compete in more than 5 races, we will take your top 5 finishes.

We recognize our top 3 award winners at the end of the year at our Annual Awards Ceremony, with awards made by Hickory Handcrafted.
