Chief Fun Officer (CFO) – Silver Circle Trivia

Role Overview
The Chief Fun Officer (CFO) is responsible for bringing energy, excitement, and interaction to Silver Circle Trivia events. This role supports the trivia host by engaging the crowd, leading movement and sing-along moments, and keeping the vibe fun between questions.
If you’re outgoing, enthusiastic, and not afraid to be a little silly in front of a crowd, this role was made for you.
- Engage and interact with trivia participants throughout the event
- Lead group dancing, clapping, and movement breaks
- Lead group singing or call-and-response moments
- Encourage team participation and positive competition
- Fill downtime between trivia rounds with fun and energy
- Help create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for all participants
- Big personality and high energy
- Comfortable speaking, dancing, or leading activities in front of groups
- Ability to read the room and adjust energy levels
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to have fun and help others do the same
No trivia knowledge required. Vibes required.
- Part-time, event-based position (1-2 time per month in the winter.
- Typically Saturdays 11:30am-2:30pm
- Training provided on event flow and expectations

JOB TITLE:
Event Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Event Directors manage the operations of an event on race day. This is a part time position with the majority of hours on weekends. There is an opportunity for this position to become full time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong communication and organization skill required.
- Ability to manage a variety of staff and volunteers under stressful situations.
- Public speaking in front of athletes for race day instructions, start line, announcements and awards is required.
- Background in running, triathlons or endurance racing is a plus.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Basic mechanical skills necessary (operating generator, assisting with installing marketing pieces).
- Coordinate sponsors and their race day marketing needs.
- Work with timer. Background with computers and timing is a plus.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
- Must have clean driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle and/or utility vehicle
- Operate a manual box truck
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The event director will supervise Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC staff, volunteers, timer, medical staff and volunteers.

Timer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Timers manager the race day timing of athletes for running, triathlons and cycling events. They work with the race director to ensure accurate athlete timing on race day. This is a part time position with the majority of hours on weekends. Some minor computer work is necessary prior to race day.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong communication and organization skill required.
- Ability to work with race director under stressful situations.
- Strong computer skills necessary. Basic skills in networking and database required.
- Background in running, triathlons or endurance racing is a plus.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Basic mechanical skills necessary (operating generator, install start / finish line truss).
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Must have clean driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Vehicle that can carry timing equipment or ability to drive pickup truck with a trailer.

Weekend Warrior
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist Race Director, Equipment Manager and Timer in setting courses & equipment. This is a part time position with the majority of hours on weekends.
