Registration
The ASCV Challenge, 5K & Family Fun Day offers both virtual and in-person opportunities to join us!

The Virtual Challenge kicks off on April 14, meaning participants can begin logging their activities for the Run/Walk, Cycle, or Let's Move events on that day.  Participants can register anytime between now and May 1, but the sooner you register, the sooner you can track your activities and compete against fellow participants and team members.

The 5K & Family Fun Day will be held in-person on May 14 at Crump Park in Glen Allen, VA.  We'll gather to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, hold our 5K event, Kids Fun Run, awards ceremony, and Family Fun Day events.  We ask that participants only register for this event if they plan to join us in-person.

You may register for any and all events at the same price!  Registration starts at the early-bird price of $25, and rises to $30 on March 1, and $35 on April 1.  Registration includes an ASCV Challenge, 5K & Family Fun Day t-shirt.  Kids 12 and under can register for $15 and will receive a t-shirt.  Children 4 and under can register for free.  Click here to see the price breakdown by dates and ages. Once you get to the page, make sure you click on "Show Registration Details."

Additional Purchases
Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $25 each (adults) or $15 (kids size).
Celebration signs are available for purchase for $25.  The signs will be displayed along the route during the 5K & Family Fun Day.
If you cannot join us in person, you can choose to have your t-shirt  mailed to you for $5.00.  Please choose the "Mail My T-Shirt to Me" option during registration.

How do I set my goal?
Participants in the Run/Walk/Hike and Cycle events have the ability to set their own goals.  From the results page, click "submit virtual results."  Then enter your name, confirm with an email address or phone number, and you will be taken to your virtual Results page.  Look for the box on the right marked "Goal" and enter your goal distance.  It will automatically create a progress bar so you can see your progress to goal.

When can I start counting my activities for the Challenge?
You can log activities anytime between April 14 and May 14!  Activities prior to April 14 do not count toward the Challenge.  The Challenge will end at 10:30am on May 14, and yes - you can log your 5K participation as a Challenge activity!

How do I track activities?
Participants can use a fitness tracker, phone app, or MapMyRun in order to track purposeful miles and activities.  Any miles you run, walk, hike, or cycle, as well as purposeful fitness activities will count, whether you are active outside, on a treadmill, on a spin bike, in a class, or by yourself. Please note that daily distances accumulated on your fitness tracker (like Apple watch or FitBit) don’t count.  It's your challenge, but we want you to take some time and make a purposeful effort to get your miles!

How do I log activities for the Challenge?
From the results page, click "submit virtual results."  Then enter your name, confirm with an email address or phone number, and you will be taken to your virtual results page.  Click “Add Another Activity” to log the date, miles completed, and any notes about your activity.  You can only enter one result per day, so if you plan to do multiple runs or walks in the same day, please enter the total distance for the entire day.  If you miss a day, don't worry: you can log multiple days at a time.

Can people outside of Central Virginia participate?
Yes!  The exciting part of the Challenge is that anyone can participate from anywhere.  Friends and family from all over the country (or the world) can register, join your team, and rack up those miles and times!

What if I don’t hit my goal?
That’s okay!  You will still receive your t-shirt and you will still be AUSOME!
