Registration FAQs

How do I register to participate?

Registration opens in February of 2024 and continues through race morning.  Click the "Sign Up" button at the top of the page to join.

Is the ASCV 5K timed?

Default registration does not include timing. You may purchase timing for your race for $5.  Please be sure to choose timing in the "add-ons" section during registration.  If you forget to purchase timing during your registration, please scroll down for instructions to add it.  Richmond Road Runners Club will provide manual timing for the race.

Is there a virtual option?

We're simplifying the event this year and returning to our original 5K & Family Fun Day event.  We're so grateful to all who joined us for the Virtual 5K and the Challenge over the past few years, and all the walking, running, cycling, and moving you did to support us!  

How do I create or join a Fundraising Team?

During registration, you have the option to create a Fundraising Team, or search Teams to join.  If you are a previous Team Captain, you can choose "Bring Back My Team" and immediately notify previous team members that the team has been created.  If you missed joining a Fundraising Team during registration, please email for assistance.

What are the 2024 race fees?

Race registration starts at the early-bird rate of $30, increasing to $35 on March 1 and then $40 on April 1.  Day-of 5K registration will be $45. Click here to see the price breakdown by dates and ages. Once you get to the page make sure you click on "Show Registration Details."

I would like to purchase Timing, additional T-Shirts, or a Celebration Sign, but I have already registered.

You can purchase Timing, Celebration Signs, or additional T-Shirts as add-ons through your RunSignUp account. Please follow the steps below, and email if you have any issues.

  1. Sign In to RunSignUp.
  2. Go to your Profile.
  3. View your events under "Upcoming Events."
  4. Click "Manage Registration" next to the registration that you are editing.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Add-On" menu item in the bottom left of the page.
  6. Edit the quantity of the add-on that you would like.
  7. Click "Continue."
