Yes! We are proud to offer a non-binary division in every race. The top 3 non-binary finishers in each distance will be recognized and awarded.
The Albuquerque Running Fiesta is proud to offer three official divisions for Athletes with Disabilities: Handcycle, Mobility Impaired (MI), and Visually Impaired (VI). These categories are available in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K distances. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive race experience for all. Each division follows clear eligibility and equipment standards to ensure fairness and safety. Athletes may compete with guides or assistive devices as outlined in our official AWD policy. During registration, you will be prompted to answer a question about a disability, and then you select the correct division. For questions, guide registration, or accessibility requests, please contact us at info@abqrunningfiesta.com by October 1.

We will have food trucks, vendors, snacks, water, and drinks around the staging area. There will be a recovery zone with ice baths, recovery boots, massages, stretchers, and a beer garden for 21+. There will be a DJ and a stage for people to hang out, take photos, and enjoy the post-race accomplishments. There will be a photo wall, props, ONE ABQ sign, a gigantic chair, hot air balloons, race mascots, and much more. The Fan Zone will be for all spectators to make cheer signs, for kiddos and not only - face painting, hair braiding, and more.
Yes, we will have a professional team capturing those awesome moments. Link with photos will be displayed on our main page.
Yes, the results and live tracking will be available online under the Results and Tracking links.
Every finisher will receive a medal. Bib number must be visible once crossing the finish line to receive a medal.
There will be medical support at the start/finish line. In case of emergency, call 911.

Music devices with headphones are allowed for runners who are not competing for prize money. Those wearing headphones must remain aware of their surroundings and pay attention to announcements.
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed.
Only during the 5k event, individuals with strollers must start at the back.
Yes, and a bib number is required to leave the gear with us. We provide a see-through bag in size 14x18 inch.
Yes, for a fee of $15 you can defer your registration to the next year's edition. This option is available only until October 15th, 2025.
Refunds are allowed until August 31, 2025 11:59pm MDT. Please note, the initial registration's processing fee is non-refundable, plus a race refund processing fee of $4.99.
The event will take place regardless of weather conditions. New Mexico is quite a good place to host a marathon, especially in the Fall with nearly perfect weather conditions.

Once approved by USATF, the course will be eligible for Boston Marathon qualification purposes. We are in the process of getting the official approval.
There is no race day packet pickup. Come the day before or have someone else pick up your packet.

The official street closure will end, and you can still finish at your discretion using the sidewalks. You must obey the traffic laws. We will wait at the finish line with a medal and well-deserved celebrations!
Race registration transfers are not allowed. You can change your registration to another distance on your runsignup account for a fee of and any additional race registration price difference.
Yes, road closure and safety are ensured for all runners under 6 hours in the marathon. Road closures will start at 1pm.
There is no race day registration.
The race will start and finish at Civic Plaza in Downtown Albuquerque.
You will receive the same gear as in-person registrants minus the experience.
ON apparel in your selected style and size, race medal, bib number, and a e-packet with some deal and discounts to local businesses.
