2026 ABQ Running Fiesta - Mile Adoption Program

Bring Your Spirit to the Streets of Albuquerque! 

We’re inviting schools, student groups, cheer teams, bands, clubs, and community organizations to help bring the Fiesta to life by adopting a mile on the course! Create the hype, show your pride, and support thousands of runners as they conquer the route!

How It Works

1️⃣ Adopt a Mile
Choose a mile marker to claim - first-come, first-served. Your group becomes the official Station for that spot.

2️⃣ Show Your Colors
Bring decorations, banners, mascots, music, costumes - the louder and brighter, the better!

3️⃣ Bring the Energy
Cheer, dance, drum, sing — anything to keep runners smiling and moving!

4️⃣ Win Prizes
Participants will vote for their favorite Stations after the race!

Top 3 Stations - decided by runner votes!
 1st Place  $700
 2nd Place  $600
 3rd Place  $500

ALL participating groups who meet the minimum requirements will receive:

→ $250 Check to help fund their program

→ Official recognition on our website & social media

→ A chance to be part of one of Albuquerque’s biggest community celebrations

→ A unique discounted registration coupon code for your school, parents, teachers, and employees to sign up for the Fiesta.

This ensures everyone wins, and the most creative, energetic stations earn bigger rewards!

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the $250 grant, groups must:
✔ Have 7+ spirited participants
✔ Remain active until the final runner passes
✔ Display school/team signage
✔ Keep music + cheering lively + positive
✔ Follow all safety guidelines provided by race staff
