FIND MY REGISTRATION

Problem:

"I know I registered for this race, and there's actions I'm supposed to take, but I can't find my registration."

Three likely scenearios:

  1. You accidentally registered under a duplicate sub-account that is in your name.
  2. A friend or family member registered you, so your registration is listed as a sub-account of that person.
  3. Your registration was manually imported into RunSignup by the race.

Scenario 1: Registered under duplicate sub-account

A sub-account generally occurs when a RunSignup user registers someone other than themselves (like a family member or friend) from their account. Occasionally, someone re-enters their own information from their account, creating a subaccount.

To see if your registration is a sub-account of your main account:

  1. Sign In to your primary RunSignup acccount
  2. Go to your Profile (click on the icon at the top right of the website)
  3. Check for any blue circles that show with names - those are subaccounts
  4. Select the sub-account that looks like yours
  5. Scroll down to "Upcoming Events"
  6. Follow the appropriate steps for managing your registration

Scenario 2: Subaccount of a Friend or Family Member

A sub-account generally occurs when a RunSignup user registers someone other than themselves (like a family member or friend) from their account. If you think that your registration may have been made my someone else, you have two options:

  1. They can manage your registration from their account, via the same steps as above.
  2. They can transfer the sub-account to your account (if you already have a RunSignup Account)
  3. They can separate the sub-account from their account and allow you to claim it.

If you have an existing RunSignup Account...
The owner of the main account should can transfer your sub-account to you:

  1. Sign In to their primary RunSignup acccount
  2. Go to their Profile (click on the icon at the top right of the website)
  3. Check for any blue circles that show with names - those are subaccounts
  4. Select the sub-account that looks like yours
  5. Click "Transfer to Another User"
  6. Enter your Email Address and password

If you do not have an existing RunSignup Account...
The owner of the main account should can transfer your sub-account to you:

  1. Sign In to their primary RunSignup acccount
  2. Go to their Profile (click on the icon at the top right of the website)
  3. Check for any blue circles that show with names - those are subaccounts
  4. Select the sub-account that looks like yours
  5. Click "Create Separate Profile for this Sub-Account"
  6. You will then create a new RunSignup account with a unique e-mail and password and click "Create Account"

Scenario 3: Your Registration was Manually Imported

Manual importing of a registration is when a race director enters you into the race. This can happen if they change registration platforms, transfer you from a different race or year, or take your registration offline (among other things).

You just need to claim your account!

Option 1:

Go to https://runsignup.com/ClaimAccounts and enter your email address, and click "Claim". If there are any unclaimed accounts associated with the email address, you will receive the "Claim Instructions" email within a few minutes.

Option 2:
On the race website, navigate to the "Find a Runner" Tab and find the user that you want to claim. If it says "Is this you?" next to the name, then the account can be claimed. When you click the link beside the name, a box will pop-up. Click "Claim", and the "Claim Instructions" Email will be sent to you.

None of that worked. Now what?

There are a few more possibilities listed here.
