Packet Pickup: Fri 3-5, Saturday 3-5, Sunday 3-5 & Monday 6:30am-9:00am
Pre-race meeting: Monday 8:55am
Race start: Monday 9:00am
Race Day Registration Ends: 9:15 am
Race end: The course officially closes at 5PM. However, if you think it will take you longer than 2 hours to do your 5K, please tell the race director or timer at the start/finish so we don't pack up the 5K awards.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Overview:
- The 5K course is an out-and back on the shore of beautiful Marine Creek Lake
Surface:
- The start/finish is chunky gravel, and the path over the dam is crushed gravel.
- Most of the course is well-maintained concrete, which may be slippery when wet.
- The course averages 8 feet wide with wide shoulders
Elevation:
- Most of the course is flat.
- There is one significant hill; the start/finish is at the top of this hill.
- There are a few bridges, none of them are steep.
Signage:
- The course is marked with signs, chalk & cones.
- There are no mile markers, but there wi be a turn-around sign
Other:
- 5K participants will go approximately 1.55 miles out then turn around near the EMS ISD headquarters and come back the way they came.
- The 5K course has a waterstop at the turnaround
- The 5K race begins and ends at the start/finish arch
- The 5K course is an accurately measured distance but is not certified.:

** 5K FAQs **
Why isn't the 5K offered on Saturday or Sunday? Dalmatian Run Fest isn't big enough. Help us grow by telling your friends about our races!
Why isn't the shirt included in the price? If we gave shirts, we'd have to raise prices in order to also give finisher's medals. And runners LOVE finisher's medals!
Is the 5K part of any 3-day event packages? Yes. The fireman's Ladder is a Half Marathon on Saturday, the 10K on Sunday and the 5K on Monday.
Is the course walker-friendly? VERY! The course is beautiful, scenic and mostly flat. Also, the cutoff is really generous!
Is the course protected from weather? Most of the 5K course is open to all elements and could be windy. But this also gives it AMAZING views!
What is "Age-Based" pricing? The 5K costs less for a 5 year old than it does for a 12 year old; they both pay less than an adult does.
