This event is limited to members only. Each game needs 52 players. Once 52 people have registered, a wait list will open and if 52 more people sign up, a second game will be played with equal prize opportunities.
Not a member yet? You can join the club during registration.

The game: participants will start at 7:00 AM and complete a ~4 mile run (see route below). Four stations will be set up along the course where you will stop and receive a playing card in an envelope. At the end of the run, a final envelope containing a fifth playing card will be handed out at Black & Brew. Runners will then head to the dealers table where they will present all five (unopened!) envelopes.

The game has a 90 minute time limit, the winning hands will be announced at 8:30 AM.

Players must be checked in by 6:50 AM and receive their game instructions. Anyone arriving late will forfeit their entry. Once the sweeper begins, no one else can start.

♦ Rules of Play ♦

Check in and pick up your plastic baggie prior to 6:50 AM.
Collect one card at each the four stops on the course. DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPES. Open envelopes may lead to forfeiting your chance to win.
Collect your fifth and final envelope at the finish.
The dealer will track hands and prizes will be awarded at 8:30 AM.

♦ Poker Run Route ♦

The route begins at Black & Brew, by the Lakeland Library at 100 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, Florida 33801.
Runners will head south on Johnson to Lake Hollingsworth. Runners will pick up their FIRST envelope containing a playing card at a station located in a parking space along Johnson near Florida Southern (close to the meeting location for the LRC Thursday night hill runs).
Runners will then continue down Johnson and cross Lake Hollingsworth Drive at the signalized crosswalk and turn left along the paved path. Runners will pick up their SECOND envelope at a station located near the water fountain that is by the traffic circle where Lake Hollingsworth Drive meets Hollingsworth Road.
Runners will then proceed to pick up their THIRD envelope at the station near the water fountain that is located by the public parking lot across from Buckingham Avenue.
Runners will then proceed to pick up their FOURTH envelope at the station located near the water fountain that is located across from Patten Heights Street.
Runners will then continue back to the crosswalk by Johnson and return via Johnson to Black & Brew, where they will receive their FIFTH AND FINAL final envelope/playing card.
