The main TROT venue for the Galveston Ultra Trail is the East Beach (R.A. Apffel). This is where we will have raceday packet pickup, the finish line for ALL events, the start line for the 13.1M, 10K, 5K, 1M, and Kids run. The facility will have portacans, outdoor showers, and our finish line aid station.
Please see the "East Beach Parking" and "Schedule" pages under the 2026 Event Information tab for detailed information.
Expect loose soft sand in the start/finish chute, but smooth and runable compact sand along the shoreline for a large majority of the course.
Mandatory Gear: All participants must carry a hdyration device. TROT is a cupless race company and reduces waste by not providing cups. We will have soft flasks for sale at our merch area at check-in. Hydration stations will be on course for all events except for the 1mi and kids events.
