REGISTRATION

I'M GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I REGISTER

Make sure the COUNTRY field is filled out. Even though there is no asterisk, it is a required field. If the problem persists, contact Rachel at rsalang@thehrdc.org. Please send a screenshot as well.

CAN I HAVE MY MONEY REFUNDED?

No, but you may defer to the following year by logging into your account on www.runsignup.com, but you must do so by November 17th. How to defer a registration

CAN I CHANGE THE EVENT I AM REGISTERED FOR (OR CHANGE FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL or vice versa)

How to transfer to another event.  

You may switch your registration from in-person to virtual or vice versa by November 20th. If you upgrade to an event that costs more, you will pay the difference (for example switching your registration from a virtual 5k to run in-person). If you switch to an event that costs less, the difference will not be refunded but treated as a generous donation to HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank.

PACKET PICK UP

CAN I CHANGE MY SHIRT SIZE?

There will be NO changing of shirt sizes at packet pick up. We base our ordering on what you order. Check out the shirt size chart before selecting your size.

CAN I HAVE A FRIEND PICK UP MY RACE PACKET?

Yes, you may.

TOILETS

There are port-a-potties at the Museum of the Rockies and by the aid stations on Wagon Wheel & Peace Pipe. 

CAN I RUN/WALK WITH A STROLLER?

You can participate with a stroller and will not need to register children who ride in a stroller during the race. However, please note that without registration, children will not receive a race shirt. To reserve a race shirt for them, registration is required.

CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?

We love our furry friends as much as you do, but unfortunately our insurance company can revoke our policy if dogs are on the premises. For the safety of the race, runners and dogs, we do NOT allow dogs at Huffing For Stuffing or on Museum of the Rockies grounds with the exception of service animals.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR WEATHER?

We’ve had temperatures in November that range from -15 to 40. We would suggest being prepared for rain, snow, slush, or shine.

CAN I RUN WITH AN IPOD OR OTHER DEVICE?

Music devices and earbuds/earphones are permitted but discouraged. For your safety and the safety of those around you, it is recommended that you leave the music at home on race day.

WILL THERE BE A WAY TO STORE MY CLOTHING AT THE MUSEUM OF THE ROCKIES?

No, at this time we are unable to provide storage. Huffing For Stuffing is not responsible for any lost clothing or items.

WHAT AWARDS AND PRIZES ARE THERE AND WHAT TIME ARE THEY GIVEN?

We will be giving awards to overall finishers, male, female, and nonbinary in the TIMED 5K and 10K. Age group awards will be given to the top three winners in their age bracket (every 10 years). If you think you have won, stop by the Timing Tent after your race. Unclaimed awards will be held for 30 days.

If you do NOT want to be considered for a race finisher prize or you wish to update your gender in your registration, please go into your Run Sign Up account and update BEFORE race day:

  3. Go to Profile (top right head image drop down)
  4. Edit (blue logo, upper right)
  5. Go to Gender and select Male, Female, Non-Binary, or Prefer Not to Say. NOTE: If you select Prefer Not to Say, you will NOT be eligible for race prizes.
  6. Save

WHERE CAN I PARK?

SAFETY 

The course is coned and marked very well, but it is open to traffic. There will be Certified Flaggers and police officers at some intersections. Please run or walk on the right side of the road unless otherwise directed. Please see our course information page for more information.

How to download your digital race bib.

WHEN WILL MY SHIRT BE MAILED TO ME? 

Race shirts will only be mailed to virtual participants who live outside of the Gallatin Valley and have paid the shipping fee when registering. Your shirts will be mailed the week of Thanksgiving. We apologize for the inconvenience but they are printed locally and will be mailed upon pick-up Thanksgiving week.
