Course Information

SAFETY:

Please note the new start/finish line locations.

The course is coned and marked very well, but it is open to traffic. There will be volunteers and certified flaggers at most intersections. Please remain on the right side of the road unless otherwise directed. Because the course is open to traffic, we recommend that all participants wear bright clothing to improve visibility.

We ask that all faster participants yield right of way and go around when overtaking slower participants.

Participants should be aware that the 5K and 10K courses merge at the intersection of Wagon Wheel and South 3rd. Please follow volunteer instructions and run in the correct channel to avoid unnecessary congestion.

Music devices and earbuds/earphones are strongly discouraged. For your safety and the safety of those around you, it is recommended that you leave the music at home on race day. If you do carry music, you must still be able to hear instructions from race officials; directions from course volunteers; motorists that may have made their way onto the course; and warnings from participants that may be overtaking you.

Dogs are not allowed (with the exception of required service animals).

LINING UP ON RACE DAY:

Due to the number of runners, Huffing For Stuffing utilizes a corral system in the museum parking bays for the race start. It’s easy! Just like boarding a plane – wait until your group (corral number) is called. Look at the color of your race bib and find the corresponding bib-colored pace sign in your corral based off the pace you would normally run your distance. You will be funneled up to the race start once the events beginning before you take off.

Corral #1 - 10K - Line up facing NORTH. Find your pace sign. Corral #1 will release the 10k promptly at 8:50 am
Corral #2 - 5K Timed - 6:00 to 7:45 min/mile pace, line up facing SOUTH.
Corral #3 - 5K Timed/Untimed - 7:50 to 9 min/mile pace, Untimed Runners, Walkers, and Strollers, line up facing SOUTH.

Baby joggers are allowed, but we ask that you start toward the back of your corral.
