Course Information

Please note the new start/finish line locations.

The course is coned and marked very well, but it is open to traffic. There will be volunteers and certified flaggers at most intersections. Please remain on the right side of the road unless otherwise directed.  Because the course is open to traffic, we recommend that all participants wear bright clothing to improve visibility.

We ask that all faster participants yield right of way and go around when overtaking slower participants.

Participants should be aware that the 5K and 10K courses merge at the intersection of Wagon Wheel and South 3rd. Please follow volunteer instructions and run in the correct channel to avoid unnecessary congestion.

Due to the number of runners, Huffing For Stuffing utilizes a corral system – MOR parking bays -for the race start.

It’s easy!  Just like boarding a plane – wait until your group (corral number) is called.

Step #1 – Look at the color of your race bib.
Step #2 – What pace do you normally run your distance?

Look for a corresponding bib-colored pace sign in your corral.

Corral #1 – 10K – Line up facing NORTH. Find your pace sign. THIS IS THE ONLY CORRAL THAT LINES UP FACING NORTH!!
Corral #2 – 5K – 6:00 – 7:45 min/mile pace
Corral #3 & 4 – 5K – 7:50 – 9:00 min/mile pace, Untimed 5K Runners, Walkers, Folks with Strollers

Step #3 – BE PATIENT!

Corral #1 will release the 10K promptly at 8:50 am

Corral #2 will be released to move to the Start line at Timed 5K start time of 9:10 am

Corral #3 will be released to move to the Start line AFTER corral #2 clears the start

Corral #4 will be released to move to the Start Line AFTER corral #3 clears the start

Our goal is an orderly start to get you on your way to an enjoyable event!  Gobble, Gobble!

Music devices and earbuds/earphones are strongly discouraged.  For your safety and the safety of those around you, it is recommended that you leave the music at home on race day.  If you do carry music, you must still be able to hear instructions from race officials; directions from course volunteers; motorists that may have made their way onto the course; and, warnings from participants that may be overtaking you.

Baby joggers are allowed, but we ask that you start toward the back of your Corral.

Dogs are not allowed (with the exception of required service animals).
