2025 EVENT POSTPONEMENT

IMPORTANT NOTICE: 2025 FIRECRACKER EVENTS POSTPONED

Dear Firecracker Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with our entire Los Angeles community during this challenging time.

Due to the wildfires resulting in a significant impact on air quality and the strain on local resources, we have made the decision to postpone all of the Los Angeles Firecracker Run/Walk, Bike, Kiddie & Dog events that were originally scheduled for February 1 & 2, 2025. Virtual events will also be postponed to align with the in-person events.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and community is our utmost priority and is at the heart of this decision. We also hold deep respect and care for the emergency personnel and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect our community. This postponement may come as a disappointment to some, but we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these unforeseen circumstances.

At this time, we are actively working with our partners and the city of Los Angeles to schedule and secure a future date for our events and celebrate the Year of the Snake Lunar New Year together. Registration and volunteer sign-ups are on hold at this time. We will keep you informed and share updates via email, our registration site, and our social media platforms as soon as they become available. If you have any urgent questions, please reach out to us at registration@firecracker10k.org.

Thank you Firecracker family for your continued support of the Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker Run/Walk and Bike events. We stand with everyone affected by the fires and we look forward to seeing you at the Start Line at a future date, under safer and more favorable conditions.

FIRECRACKER Event Postponement FAQ's

Why is the event being postponed?

The decision to postpone the event was made to prioritize the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and the community due to the impact of the recent fires and air quality in and around Los Angeles. Beyond safety concerns, we also wanted to avoid causing any further strain on local resources.

Will the event be rescheduled?

Yes! We are actively working with our partners and the city of Los Angeles to schedule and secure a new date for our events. We will communicate the update and information as soon as it is available.

Will my race and/or volunteer registration be transferred to the new rescheduled date?

Yes, all race and volunteer registrations will automatically be transferred to the new date. There is no need to re-register. If you will not be able to attend the event on the rescheduled date, we will provide further options and instructions on our website and via email.

Will refunds be available?

We will provide more information and options when the new date is announced.

Will there be any changes to the course or logistics?

Currently, the format and course will remain the same for all events except for the 50 Mile Bike Ride as it originally went through the affected areas of Altadena and Pasadena.
