L.A CHINATOWN FIRECRACKER EVENTS
The Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K Run/Walk, Bike Ride, Kiddie Run and PAW'er Dog Walk event is the largest and longest-running Lunar New Year charity event in the United States. Established in 1978, the LA Chinatown Firecracker Run started with a 10K Run and has since grown to include a 5K Run/Walk, 20 & 50 Mile Bike Rides, a Kiddie Run and a Paw’er Dog Walk.
The event serves the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area with support from Council District 1 of the City of Los Angeles. All proceeds are reinvested into the community in support of elementary schools and non-profit organizations, providing services and programs that benefit local neighborhoods.
FIRECRACKER FESTIVAL: The Firecracker Festival is a family friendly fun event held in conjunction with the weekend events. The festival features live stage entertainment along with booths and vendors from various organizations, non-profits, and businesses.

Free Chow Mein Carbo-Load on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10am-2pm

Free bag check-in service during the hours of the event for Bike participants on Saturday and Run participants who are Metro riders on Sunday. Participants are encouraged to use the Metro Gold Line, exit Chinatown Station.

Hydration stations on the courses and refreshments at the end of the course

Access to Firecracker Festival booths from vendors, sponsors and community organizations that support the Firecracker event
AWARDS:

Special Award to the overall male and female winners in the 5K Run and the 10K Run/Walk events.

Divisional Winner medal to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age division, male and female (No winner medals for the 5K Fun Run/Walk event.)
NOTE: 5K Run and 10K Run/Walk are chip-timed events for quick & accurate results. Time starts when participant crosses the Start Line.
