For 18 years the Wyoming Valley Striders 20K Classic held in Wilkes-Barre was considered the area’s premier long distance road race. In 1993, the Striders board was forced to cancel the race due to traffic control issues. On September 13, 2014, the Striders resurrected this historic race on the beautiful D&L Trail, located in Lehigh Gorge State Park, in White Haven PA.
The Wyoming Valley Striders 20K Run is back for a 7th year!
The course runs along the D&L Trail, is wheel measured and marked, has a rolled cinder surface, and is an out and back configuration with a slight decline on the way out and a slight incline on the way back. There will be water stops on the course. (NOTE: Race location may change if trail is under construction.)

The Wyoming Valley Striders wish to acknowledge the cooperation of the Lehigh Gorge State Park and the White Haven Borough for their valuable assistance.
This race will be a USATF sanctioned event.
We prefer you to access the venue driving on Main Street instead of going through the White Haven Market parking lot. Main Street runs parallel to the market. Look for race signs we will have out. Once at the White Haven Market parking lot's southernmost end, continue onto the gravel road and go past the bike rental shop. Continue straight ahead into Lehigh Gorge State Park, go under the Interstate 80 overpass, and then into the parking lot of the race venue.Open in External Application
