Club Information:
Independence Blue Streaks is the Official Running Team of Independence Blue Cross! Thanks to an avid runner and IBX associate who first organized the Blue Streaks in 1993, we have since been recognized as the largest corporate running club in the Philadelphia region and growing! Our membership is over 100 associates from the Independence Blue Cross Family of Companies. Our runners range from beginners to experienced and have the opportunity to participate in about 20 running events throughout the year, ranging from 5k (3.1 miles) to marathon (26.2 miles) and distances in between. The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run held in May is by far our most popular race. Our positive engagement with the running community, and visibility among associates and our neighbors, furthers the mission of Independence Blue Cross. We seek to inspire others to achieve good health and well-being and provide the social support and tools to our members to pursue an active lifestyle through running.
Run Information:
Morning, lunch, and post-work day runs from the office.
